With healing in his wings

Hello, How are you guys all doing? Things have been great here; continuing to serve and help people, helping Romarilyn progress towards baptism, and having interviews with President Cobing, all going pretty well here in the mission life. Tuesday was alright. We first tried to visit the Raymundo family, who we met last week, but only one of them was there, so we were able to talk to him and schedule another time for us to come back. We then spent a while searching for this one family, the Bueno family, that was mentioned to us as we talked to Nanay Sareno about ministering efforts, and we finally ended up at their house, no one was home lol. It's alright though; along the way, we were able to run into Maribel (member) and Cassandra and Blessed (the youth Sister Elaine referred us to) as they were coming home from school, which was nice since we haven't seen them in a while because they're always busy with school. We then tried to meet several others in the neighborhood tha...

We have walked to and fro through the earth

Hello, How are you all doing? Things are going alright on my end; we're continuing to help Romarilyn progress towards baptism, and we continue to strive to find more people to help come unto Christ, as is the mission-life haha. We also walked a lot this week since we haven't fixed Elder Anor's bike yet, and we wanted him to be comfortable with walking before we immediately went biking again haha. Tuesday went ok. We still haven't received any results from the CT scan yet for Elder Anor after his crash, so we just walked to some nearby areas, no biking yet. We tried visiting a few people, but with the early afternoon and everything, no one was home or available haha, so it was just a lot of walking in the sun haha. After a quick few-minute break to let him rest, we visited the Mateo family, who I was introduced to in my first or second week here, but we haven't met with them since because they don't seem that interested. The visit went well enough, we'll pr...

He fell from off the (bike) seat

Hello, This week has been alright, it became quite an adventure at the end of the week, the past couple days have been a bit crazy haha Tuesday went alright. After some lunch, we headed to the cornfields to visit some people, but most of them were gone/at school haha. We were able to meet with Karen Grace, who is the daughter-in-law of a less active family, and the lesson went alright. Afterwards, we biked back to the center of Jones to meet with Romarilyn, which went pretty well. She told us that even though she hasn't been reading the Book of Mormon, her husband, Noel, actually has been reading it (either the Book of Mormon of one of the pamphlets we've given her), so that was pretty cool to hear, and he said he'd come next Sunday to church, which was also nice to hear haha. We're still not teaching him yet since he's usually busy when we arrive there, but he seems to be opening up more and more and seems a bit more willing to learn with each passing week. The l...

The Records were desirable; yea, even of great worth

Hello, How are you all doing? This week has been pretty good; even though we didn't have as many miracle finding opportunities as we did last week, we still had some pretty good days and got some good work done, so I'm satisfied with it all. Also, fun fact, they apparently start celebrating Christmas here in the Philippines at the beginning of September since we've entered the "-ber" months haha, so I saw some Christmas decorations set up earlier today when I got some lunch at McDonald's lol. Tuesday was pretty good. We headed to Cauayan for zone conference (first ones there haha), which was pretty good; it was all about Christlike attributes, and I enjoyed it a lot, and Elder Anor and I won a game and got some cookies and cream kisses as our prize (even if they quickly melted lol). We then headed back to Echague for the evening since we will have exchanges the next day, and I did some DFTC work creating some ads before we went to a dinner appointment with t...
