Then the Lord answered....out of the whirlwind

Hello, How are you all doing? This week was pretty great; lots of miracles and lots of new people we either are teaching or could start teaching soon, and we all survived a tropical storm hitting our region of the Philippines haha. Tuesday was a little interesting haha. Right after we finished our amazing, beautiful plan for the day, we got a message from our zone leaders saying that we had to stay in our apartments for the rest of the day because the tropical storm had hit our mission, and President wanted us to take precautions. It was probably way worse in other areas (the zone leaders even asked us if we still had power since Cauayan apparently had no power at some point), but we were just chilling in our area, we only got some medium-heavy wind and some heavy drizzles every so often. If it was a normal day, we honestly probably could've gone out haha, but we followed President Cobing's counsel to stay inside just in case it got worse, even if it meant we would look outsi...

They shall walk, and not faint

Hello, How are you all doing? I'm doing alright; some bike problems and other traveling difficulties made it a little more difficult to find some new people this week, but it was overall a good week, and I know that the Lord is continually with us, even with our weaknesses. Tuesday was alright. My bike was broken, and we didn't have time to fix it/we forgot to ask for approval to fix the bike and receive a refund for what we would spend on the bike, so we'll just try to fix it tomorrow. A couple members joined us for the day, and they didn't have bikes either anyways, so we just ended up walking. Unfortunately, the place we wanted to visit was pretty far, so we had a lot of walking today haha. We first visited the Caberto family, but like last week, the kids didn't seem that interested and wouldn't come out of the house and/or "snuck" out of the house through the back door lol. Around that time, we also received texts that the other people we planned...

All the families of the earth (shall) be blessed

Hello, How is everything going? My week was alright, just doing some missionary work and trying to bring souls to Jesus Christ, the usual haha, but we had some neat miracles with finding some new families we could potentially start teaching and with our other families we're already teaching making good steps to progress towards baptism and becoming closer to Jesus Christ, which was awesome. Tuesday was alright. After some lunch, we headed to the Cabertos, but they unfortunately don't seem too interested at the moment, so we'll see what happens with them. We then tried to meet with Ivhana and Joan, but Ivhana wasn't responding to texts from us or from Joan, she was probably sleeping lol, so we just met some of Joan's family instead and got a snack at their store. We then visited another member family real quick, and a huge coconut fell and landed about a foot and a half away from Elder Anor, so that was pretty neat lol. We then tried to visit various other people, ...

Be of good Cheer, for I will lead you along

Hello, How are you all doing? My week was pretty good: inviting others to come unto Christ, enjoying some rainstorms, the usual haha. It was pretty busy with MLC (which was a two-day event this time) and with me trying to finalize some ads and still trying to adjust to the area, but it was all good. On Tuesday, we visited the Cabertos, a part-member family whose children have membership records (some of them), but they haven't been baptized yet since their parents stopped coming to church before the kids were baptized. Elder Anor and his last companion found them shortly before I arrived, so we've started to work with them a bit. The next part of our plan for the day fell through lol, so we got some fries and milk tea (water-based, without the tea of course haha; mine was mango-flavored, it was pretty good), while we tried to replan/figure something out. It was also raining a lot haha, but it luckily calmed down by the time we finished, so we were able to visit a couple other...

Hello, How are you all doing? I'm doing alright, I'm now in the Jones area with Elder Anor, which is going well so far. I'm just trying to adjust to the new area/people for the moment, so nothing too crazy has happened yet, except for the earthquake that happened on Wednesday (don't worry, we were far from the epicenter, so we are all ok, but it was still a little strong where we were). Tuesday was transfer day. We met the ZLs and a few other Elders at Bambang terminal around 7/7:30am, and after saying some goodbyes, I travelled with another Elder to Santiago, where we saw Elder Harrison, Elder Goldstein, and quite a few other missionaries there, including my new companion, Elder Anor. He's from the southern area of the Philippines, he's 20, and he's first companion who isn't mostly fluent in English, so this should be fun haha. Anyways, he and Elder Angkiangco, our district leader, drove me and my luggage to Elder Angkiangco's area to have lunch w...
