They shall walk, and not faint

Hello, How are you all doing? I'm doing alright; some bike problems and other traveling difficulties made it a little more difficult to find some new people this week, but it was overall a good week, and I know that the Lord is continually with us, even with our weaknesses. Tuesday was alright. My bike was broken, and we didn't have time to fix it/we forgot to ask for approval to fix the bike and receive a refund for what we would spend on the bike, so we'll just try to fix it tomorrow. A couple members joined us for the day, and they didn't have bikes either anyways, so we just ended up walking. Unfortunately, the place we wanted to visit was pretty far, so we had a lot of walking today haha. We first visited the Caberto family, but like last week, the kids didn't seem that interested and wouldn't come out of the house and/or "snuck" out of the house through the back door lol. Around that time, we also received texts that the other people we planned to visit were busy, so that was fun lol. We then walked some more to visit a member of the branch presidency, and we then headed to another area to visit an older inactive woman, but she was busy too, so we walked all the way back to the center of town lol. We then got some dinner with the members, which was pretty nice; it was the birthday of one of them, so his mom met us somewhere for dinner, but we didn't know it was his birthday until they brought out a cake that said "Happy Birthday", which was pretty funny haha. Afterwards, we headed home to try making some calls and doing DFTC work. Nothing too exciting today besides the surprise birthday dinner and meeting his mom/her inviting us to stop by their house another day (she's a less active member, and her husband isn't a member, so there's some potential there), but hey, at least I got a cheesecake-flavored drink/shake, so no complaints there haha On Wednesday, we then met a few YSA members who wanted to join us at the church before we headed out, which was good. We first visited the Quejas household, an older couple that we've visited a couple times. The husband is a less active member while the wife isn't a member, but the wife wasn't available, so we just met with and shared a message with the husband. We then walked a lot to visit another older man and share a message with him before trying to visit Romarilyn, but she wasn't available, so we just quickly got a couple snacks at the house of a couple YSA members nearby. We then met with the Calimag family (and by family I just mean one of them and his friend, another inactive member, that happened to arrive when we did lol), which went alright, and afterwards, we headed to our appointment with Sister Elaine. Long story short, we had an impromptu Family Home Evening with her and some other YSA members, which went well. After some dinner, we walked home for the evening, and I tried to do some DFTC work as usual while being distracted by a tiny mouse darting around on the floor in the other room lol. Thursday was alright. Before we headed to district council, we finally fixed my bike haha, and then we headed over. District council was good, we just started a bit late, so we got home later than we expected, but it all worked out. When we got home, we were going to try to make the most of the little time we had, but right at that moment, Elder Anor's bike was flat this time lol, I think we've had 3-4 flat tires in the past week or so. We got that fixed up, and we then headed to visit Ivhana, someone we've been trying to prepare for baptism, but we haven't been able to teach her again since the end of July lol, and she still wasn't available today haha. We then visited another member to ask about some unbaptized members that live near her, and she said that we should come back with Sister Joyce, the recently returned missionary, to meet with them another day, so hopefully there's potential there. We then met and shared a message with the Bulan family, which went well, before we headed home to end the night and update some records. Friday was pretty good. We had our interviews with President Cobing, which went well, they just always take way longer than expected haha. When we arrived, I helped Sister Cobing figure out some social media stuff that she had questions on, and she gave me some information for accessing the budget for our upcoming ads. Anyways, interviews went well, and afterwards, they dropped us off at McDonald's nearby, which was nice, as they headed off to some other interviews, and we then headed to the location where the van picks us and others up to go back to Jones, but it took about an hour or so before the van actually left, which was fun lol. We finally got home around 4:30pm (we left at 9:30am haha), and we headed to visit Romarilyn. She's great, and she always shares her testimonies/experiences with different things that we teach her. We then got some dinner at a member's house, and we then headed home for the evening and watched a lizard attempt to eat a bee buzzing near our window without getting stung lol, very entertaining. On Saturday, we had some weekly planning, which went alright, and we then headed to meet the Cristobal family again. Anyways, the Cristobals were a bit busy and said that we could come by again next Sunday, but we got to meet their cute old grandma, which was nice haha. We then visited some of the Calimag family (inactive family) and met the youngest brother, who hasn't been baptized yet. I just decided to send it and invite them to church, and the older brother said that he'll come and also invite their friend (also an inactive member) who we met last time we visited them, so we'll see where that goes haha (spoiler alert: they didn't come haha). We then briefly met with the Inson family (inactive family with kids who aren't baptized either) and Bulan family to schedule a return appointment tomorrow since they were both busy, and we picked up some dinner before heading home. On Sunday, only Ivhana and one of the sons of the Bulan family came today, and Ivhana wasn't seeming as interested in having us come over anymore, soooo we need to figure that out haha. After church/lunch, we visited an older couple (the wife is a less active member), which went alright, it's just a little difficult to determine the interest of the husband. We then tried visiting a couple others before stopping by Romarilyn, which went well, we just need to help her feel converted to Christ and His Church and have that be the motivation for her to be baptized, not just because she likes/trusts us as individual missionaries (i.e. we don't want her to stop coming to church or go back on her desire to be baptized just because one of us is transferred, you know?). We then tried visiting a couple more families before heading home for the evening so that we could do our reports and so that I could have a meeting with the referral secretaries. The meeting went well; I used to be in the same zone with those who were able to attend, so we were able to joke around with each other a bit and have a good time haha. Anyways, I hope you all are doing fantastic. Good luck to everyone who is starting school, will be starting school soon, or has kids/family members who are starting school haha, and remember to keep trusting and relying on the Lord in all your triumphs and your sorrows, and He will lead you for the better. Have a great week! Elder Enger 1 - Welcome to Jones sign 2 - Chilling in a van for an hour 3 - Us at district council 4 - Incoming rainstorms as we walk down a hill
