Be Baptized...in the name of Mine Only Begotten Son

Image
Hello, How are you guys doing? This week has gone pretty well and was very fulfilling; we had a couple baptisms, a great Family Home Evening, and a lot more people we're teaching came to church, so we were kept busy, it was good. Tuesday went well. After district council, we met with a member family and some of their friends for a celebration they had, which went well. Then we met with Cristine and Queenie, and we were able to teach Queenie's mom alongside the rest of the family (who are members), which was great, she seems like she's interested as well, and we'll be planning a family home evening with them soon. Afterwards, we visited Jorlie and John Lloyd to prepare Jorlie for his baptism on Saturday and what it will look like, and it took way longer than we expected since he's so excited and was easily distractable haha. We then headed home to cook some food, text/plan with some of our members and investigators, and did some social media work. On Wednesday mor...

Come and be baptized unto repentance

Hello, How are you all doing? This week was pretty good but a little chaotic as we have been preparing for the baptisms, and it was raining a lot this week, which makes travelling to further areas a little bit difficult haha, but it all worked out. On Tuesday, we had district council and celebrated Elder Sabala's birthday, which was nice. It was raining a bit when we're got home, but luckily, with our new house, we're within walking distance of John Raven and some others haha, so we were able to meet with him and move his baptism to June 11 so that he can attend church more and develop that habit. We then visited Queenie and Cristine, who we met last week, with the Saduestes and their niece, who is around the same age as them, and that went well too; they were a little more engaged than last time, which is always a plus. Afterwards, we visited John Lloyd and Jorlie, and them being so excited for their baptism and for meeting with us just makes me so happy haha. Wednesday...

Then the disciples went...unto their own home

Hello, This week went pretty well. It was pretty busy, we had a lot of successful lessons and contacts with people, and we finally moved into our own apartment, so we no longer have to bike over a mountain in order to reach our area haha. Tuesday was pretty good. We had interviews with President in the morning, which went well, those are always pretty good. We then got some lunch before having district council, and after that, we had planned to visit a couple of our investigators with some young adult members from the branch, but our lessons all got cancelled 30 minutes before we were supposed to meet the members, so we had to quickly scramble a new plan haha. We first stopped by Kim Jordan, who ran away when he saw us, and his uncle and cousin told us that he just wants to play on his phone, darn. We then visited a household with some members of the Church, and one of the women, Michelle (a member), there talked with us told us that we could come back on Thursday to teach her daught...

And I am a God of miracles

Hello, How are you all doing? I have another scripture phrase in the title for you to find (maybe I'll do this more often so that you all will study your scriptures each week in an attempt to find my scripture quote haha), ans you once again get bonus points for finding it. I read this verse in one of my personal studies as I began to train a new missionary, and shortly thereafter, I was able to witness a few miracles of my own, so I can testify that God truly is a God of miracles. Tuesday was alright. Elder Sabala and I had a Train the Trainers zoom meeting in the morning, while the ZLs bought some pizza and donuts for us all to eat for some breakfast haha. After a mission devotional and district council, we visited Seth's house to meet with Ren in order to teach Rizalyn over video chat/text. After that, we visited Hermenigildo in the western part of our area, which went pretty well. After some dessert with their family, we went to the Martinez family for some dinner, and th...

Time to train again...

Hello, How are you all doing? This has been a good last week of the transfer, and some exciting news for next transfer (beginning on May 4) is that I am training once again haha, so that should be interesting. Tuesday was pretty good. We went to district council, which was alright, and afterwards, we met with Andrei and Brentt and several other kids in this one neighborhood with a couple new members that were baptized last year. The kids were a little crazy lol (they're all younger than 12), but Andrei and Brentt seemed interested and were pretty engaged. We then briefly met a deaf member who was referred to us by the ZLs and another member, and we had a member nearby that was able to translate a little bit for us as we got to know her a little bit. Afterwards, we had some lessons with John Raven and Jorlie/John Lloyd, which went well, and we then met with their cousin (he was baptized a year or two ago) to help strengthen his testimony and help him with some concerns he's ha...
