Come and be baptized unto repentance

Hello, How are you all doing? This week was pretty good but a little chaotic as we have been preparing for the baptisms, and it was raining a lot this week, which makes travelling to further areas a little bit difficult haha, but it all worked out. On Tuesday, we had district council and celebrated Elder Sabala's birthday, which was nice. It was raining a bit when we're got home, but luckily, with our new house, we're within walking distance of John Raven and some others haha, so we were able to meet with him and move his baptism to June 11 so that he can attend church more and develop that habit. We then visited Queenie and Cristine, who we met last week, with the Saduestes and their niece, who is around the same age as them, and that went well too; they were a little more engaged than last time, which is always a plus. Afterwards, we visited John Lloyd and Jorlie, and them being so excited for their baptism and for meeting with us just makes me so happy haha. Wednesday was a pretty rainy day. After some lunch, we waited for the senior missionaries to come to our house to drop off some more supplies, and once we got all that sorted out, we then headed over to the west to visit Hermie. The lesson with him went well; he's pretty excited for his baptism next week (though we have to cram a lot of lessons in to make sure we've taught him everything so soon haha), and his faith/devotion to Christ is admirable. We then visited Rosalinda, though we just had a quick visit with her because of the rain before heading home. Once we returned home, we assembled our water filter so that we can finally have some drinkable water lol, and we figured out some more details with for Rizalyn's baptism before having dinner with the Saduestes, which was good. There was a lot of rain on Thursday haha, but it was still alright. We met John Raven and a couple of his friends, which went well, and then we tried stopping by a few others, but no one was home until we accidentally stumbled upon the birthday party for a less active member, and they invited us in for some food (which is pretty normal here in the Philippines haha). We then visited Andrei and Jorlie/John Lloyd to teach them the plan of salvation with some new pictures we received and that we wanted to test out on the kids we're teaching, and we afterwards visited Cono (part member family) and his family (members) for dinner and a lesson, which went well. Like I said, there was a lot of rain, so we walked a lot today haha, but it was good. Friday was pretty good. When I went to grab one of my pants hanging outside to dry in the morning, I saw that one of them had some baby spiders/eggs on them 😐😑 so I sprayed all my clothes with some bug spray we received during the move, especially the one with the baby spiders lol. Anyways, we did some weekly planning today, and while we did so, I got a call from President Craig. He informed me of my new assignment as the mission's Digital Teaching and Finding Leader, so I'm no longer a simple content missionary haha. He told me that it's a relatively new assignment, and once I receive some training, I'll be leading the mission's finding/teaching efforts with social media and instructing the other missionaries how to do so effectively, and I'll need to travel to MLC each transfer with the ZLs (and my companion, of course). Our mission's three Facebook pages will also be merging into one page for the whole mission, so I'll also be in charge of running the mission page. Anyways, we then went to visit Rizalyn so that she could have her baptism interview, which went well, and plan for her baptism tomorrow. We then had a good lesson with Cristine and Queenie and the Saduestes before heading over to visit the Martinez family so that they could meet Elder Gernale. After sharing a thought and scheduling a meal with them, we visited another member nearby before biking home for the night. Luckily, it only rained hard today when we were travelling to the Martinez family, so we were able to get to most of the places we wanted to visit today without getting too wet. Saturday was Rizalyn's baptism, which was great. Elder Sabala was also able to make it and arrived right before she went into the font haha. We hoped we would see Hermie and some other investigators of ours there, but they didn't show up, sad. We then tried to visit Hermie, but he wasn't home, sad again. A couple other people we tried to visit were also busy, so we visited Rogelio, the grandfather of a youth in our branch, which went well. Afterwards, we visited John Lloyd and Jorlie real quick before heading home to have dinner with the branch president's family next door to our house, which was good. The branch president's baby is turning 10 months old on Monday, and we realized that I also just "turned 10 months old" on my mission on Thursday lol, we're twins! On Sunday, Rizalyn got confirmed as a member of the Church, but John Lloyd didn't come, so his date will be moved to June 11. His brother, Jorlie, came, however, so he'll continued to be baptized this upcoming Saturday. After church, we had lunch with the Martinez family, and we then visited Hermie. By the end of our visit with him, my voice was just becoming shot haha, I was losing my voice so bad. Anyways, we then visited Rosalinda with some members, which also went well, and we have more hope that she will eventually be baptized, it'll just take a lot of patience, time, and ministering efforts to guide her little by little. With all these people we're preparing for baptism, I've been able to experience a lot of joy watching many people come closer to Jesus Christ and receive the blessings of baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost by authority from God. I'm super grateful for this experience, and I know that this work is designed and led by God Himself, and I can't wait to continue serving Him for the next 14 months. I hope you all are doing well. If not, shoot me an email or let me know if there's something I can pray or fast for, and I will do it. Have a great week! Until next time, Elder Enger
