Now I will come unto you...For I will not see you now. by the way

Hello! It's been a good past couple of weeks. For one, Elder Gella and I are now covering Almaguer as well as the Bambang 2nd Branch (long story short: the missionaries that were assigned there had to be pulled out, and there weren't any missionaries there for nearly a month; with us being the closest missionaries, plus with my previous knowledge of the area, we became the missionaries for that area as well as our own until the next transfer in a couple of weeks), so it's been fun to be meeting people that I used to work with and teach last year haha. Our goal is basically to nurture the area and the people that the past missionaries were preparing for baptism, as well as those that were recently baptized, so that the next missionaries aren't left with nothing when they arrive at the end of May. We also got bikes as a result that we're sharing with the Bambang 1st Elders, and it's a bit refreshing to have bikes again and not needing to walk everywhere or worrying about if we'll find transportation late at night haha. Aside from that work in Almaguer, the work in Bambang is also going well. We invited Aristotle, the husband of a member who works abroad (we met their family during my first P-Day here in Bambang 2), to prepare for baptism along with his son (who's turning 8) on June 3, so that will be exciting, and Alyssa (the last kid of a previously inactive member family who hadn't been baptized yet until the missionaries came to help her family become more active) got baptized and confirmed this weekend, which was super sweet, especially since her dad got to baptize her. We also continue to meet and find some less active member families as well as people that live near them who were taught by missionaries in the past and are open to being taught again, and we're having a good time working with the branch and it's leaders to help these people come unto Christ and better receive His gospel and His peace/strength into their lives. I hope you guys are doing fantastic, and Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there! Especially to my own mother, not to brag, but I think I got the best one haha :) As you've celebrated the mothers or mother figures in your own lives, continue to reflect on the love that your Heavenly Parents have for you too. They love each and every one of you and want you to be happy and successful in this life and in the life to come. God is always watching over you and will continue to guide your steps and provide you with the miracles you need in your life, whether they come through prayer, through scripture study, or through those who love us and care for us as He does, such as our wonderful mothers. No one has perfect families, but we do have a perfect God; He knows perfectly how to help each of us, and I know that your lives will continue to become more happier and peaceful as you come unto Him and help others to do the same. First week of home MTC

To my adoring fans, Well, I survived the first week of the MTC, so that's exciting. It sort of feels like school except that I actually have a good sleep schedule haha. On Monday, I woke up and had a large group meeting from 8 to 9 with all of the incoming missionaries (I think there's over 400 of us), and we just talked about our purpose, gave us an overview of our missionary experience, and got us excited for the work. We had one of these meetings each morning for this first week. My first district class is from 9 to 12, and my second class is from 1:30 to 4:30. There are 4 other Elders in my district, and we were all assigned to different areas of the Philippines. It was during this time when I also met my companions: Elder McClellan and Elder Blauer (with an odd number in our district, my companionship is a trio). Happy Easter! If the title caught your attention, then good, the clickbait worked haha. While we were at one of our member's house for dinner, the young daughter tried saying my first name, but she wasn't pronouncing the "r"s properly (sort of like "pah-keh"), so her older sister and Elder Sabala corrected her and told her not to say it like that because it was a bad word. So there you go, I am a swear word 😂 Anyways, this week has been good, we were able to focus on a lot of people that we're trying to prepare for baptism soon, which has been good for us to taje care of and plan for. On Tuesday, we had district council, which was fun. There were a few birthdays in both districts, so we decided to meet together for birthday potluck for lunch and then split off into separate district councils, which was fun. Ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost

Hello, This week was pretty good, it was a good week to end my time here in Jones (yes, spoiler alert, I'm being transferred haha). Romarilyn got confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, a couple members of the Bulan family accepted an invitation to be baptized, and we met the family of Sister Elaine who are interested in meeting with us, so good things all around. Tuesday was ok. In the morning, we had a zoom companionship study with our zone leaders, which went alright. After some lunch, we visited Monalisa and Violeta, which went pretty well, we talked about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon and they seemed at least a bit receptive to it, which is all we can ask for haha. We then walked for a while to briefly visit a less active member, and when we walked all the way back to another member's house to ask where another inactive member lived, they told us that he lived all the way back where we came haha...
