Ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost

Hello, This week was pretty good, it was a good week to end my time here in Jones (yes, spoiler alert, I'm being transferred haha). Romarilyn got confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, a couple members of the Bulan family accepted an invitation to be baptized, and we met the family of Sister Elaine who are interested in meeting with us, so good things all around. Tuesday was ok. In the morning, we had a zoom companionship study with our zone leaders, which went alright. After some lunch, we visited Monalisa and Violeta, which went pretty well, we talked about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon and they seemed at least a bit receptive to it, which is all we can ask for haha. We then walked for a while to briefly visit a less active member, and when we walked all the way back to another member's house to ask where another inactive member lived, they told us that he lived all the way back where we came haha. It took a while before we finally found the house, and we were able to meet his mom, which was good. We then headed over to Romarilyn's, but she was sick, so we talked with her a bit and gave her a blessing. We then tried stopping by a few more people on our way to the Calimag brothers, though only one of them was there. Then we got home, I did some social media work that hadn't gotten done earlier, which went well. Wednesday was pretty good. After lunch, we headed to one of the top-most parts of our area since Sister Elaine told us that some of her family lives there, so we took a van there, and we met Darren (Sister Elaine's niece, who we've met at her house before), Russell (Darren's brother), Efren (their uncle; Sister Elaine's brother), and Editha (Sister Elaine's mom), which went pretty well. Darren's/Russell's parents were busy at the moment, and Efren's wife was gone as well, but he said that she's been wanting a Bible study, but she's only free in the evenings, so we'll see if we can arrange a time to meet her as well and teach them together. We then headed back to the center of town, passed by Tatay Pang, and briefly visited the Macarilay family. They were having some family time and watching some TV, so we weren't there too long, and we just headed over to visit the Bulan family, which went alright. A "pastura" (female pastor) has started to visit them recently as well, and they still love having us over luckily haha, it's just seems like a race now to see if they will choose to be baptized in her church or ours lol, we'll be addressing that next time On Thursday, we had some district council, which went alright. Afterwards, we headed back to Jones, and when we arrived, we walked for a while to meet with a couple less active members and other people we're trying to teach, but they were busy or not there. We then headed to visit Romarilyn real quick and fill out her baptism form (for her membership record), which went well. We then just headed back to eat some dinner and do some other tasks, not the most exciting day lol. Friday went well. We were supposed to have exchanges today with the district leader, but he changed his mind haha, so it was just us today. We had some studies, got some lunch, and had some weekly planning, which all went well, and we then headed to meet with Monalisa, but only her mom, Violeta, was there, so we taught her instead, which was good. We then headed over to another part of town to try visiting a couple people before visiting with Romarilyn, which went well, we were able to talk more about the temple and the gift of the Holy Ghost, which was good. They spent some time talking about how much they (Elder Anor and Romarilyn) didn't want anything to do with me when they first met me because I was a foreigner/American haha, thinking I would be rude, wouldn't speak any Tagalog, etc. lol. Thankfully, they both warmed up to me pretty quickly as I broke their assumptions haha, it's just funny whenever they talk about how much they did not want to meet me when they first heard Elder Anor was having a foreigner companion lol Saturday was a bit interesting. After some lunch, we tried to finally fix Elder Anor's bike, but all the shops were either closed or didn't have the parts to fix it lol, so we just ended up walking again in the areas near our house haha. First, we headed over to the Macarilay family, and even though there were a bunch of crazy kids there haha, we were able to share a message with some of them and their friend, Meriam, which went well. We then headed over to visit an inactive member, but she wasn't there, so we talked with her mom for a while instead before heading over to the Bulan family with Tatay, which was interesting haha. A couple of their family members came by and joined us shortly after we started, which was nice, it just made things a little more chaotic with keeping your focus on so many people haha. We finally got to set a baptism date with the mom and her son (teenager) for November 26. The father doesn't seem incredibly committed/set with what we've been teaching with the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and all that, but he's pretty supportive of the others and enjoys having us over, and the daughter and her husband still want more time to think about it. Anyways, overall, it went well, and we met their cousin, Christian, who said he'll also try to come to church tomorrow, which is great. We then headed home to have some dinner and a Technology Council, which went alright. Sunday went pretty well. In the morning, we found out who's leaving and who's coming into our zone, and....I will be leaving haha, crazy. I'll be heading to an area called Mallig, in the Ilagan-Roxas zone, the zone right above mine, and my companion might be the district leader there, we'll see. This will be the third zone I've been to out of the 5 we have, let's see if I can hit them all haha. Anyways, we then headed to church; Romarilyn got confirmed, and the mom and son in the Bulan family came to church, which was great, and the mom already knows a few members there, so that was nice to see. After Sunday school, there were some snacks/food for the birthday of the Relief Society President's grandson, which was good, and afterwards, we then headed out to give my farewells to various people haha. We first passed by Monalisa and Violeta to say goodbye to them, which was nice, and on our way to Romarilyn, a couple older guys called out to us. They've been taught a while ago by missionaries, and they said that they wait in their spot for an American like me walking on the nearby road so that they can talk to the "Mormons" again lol. We told them that I was actually leaving, and they said that if Elder Anor's new companion is an American, they can come back to teach, but if he's Filipino, they don't want them to come back haha, they're funny. We then went to Romarilyn's to say goodbye, which went well, and we then headed over to Sister Elaine's as well and had some snacks there. Fun fact: Sister Elaine's is the first and last place that I've shared a message while in Jones haha. On my first or second evening here, we had a family home evening at her house during the week leading up to her baptism, and tonight, she was the last one we shared a message with, how sweet haha. We then quickly headed over to the Bulan family to say goodbye as well before our curfew, and they gave me and Elder Anor each a ring as a parting gift, we appreciate it haha. We then headed home for me to do some social media tasks, have a meeting with the content team, and start packing haha, it's been good. Anyways, I hope you all are doing fantastic. Just remember that God and Jesus Christ love you very much, that They are always by your side and supporting you through anything you may grow through as you take every and any step---big or small---back towards Them. They want you to return to Them and feel Their love for you, now and forever, and I know that They will always be there for you and helping you to find peace, love, joy, and happiness in this life and in the eternities.
