Exciting news for next transfer

Hello, My week was pretty good. It was one of those weeks where we were very busy but it only seemed like a few things happened lol. Spoiler alert: I found out that I'm training a brand new missionary beginning this week, so....that's exciting haha. On Tuesday, we were mostly finding people and going around to different neighborhoods to make various stopbys. We did have a good chat with Tyler though as we are preparing him for baptism. We met with him and another member who had the same struggles that he has; his desire is definitely there, and we made sure his heart was in the right place and that he understood the commitments he would be making at baptism and what he'll need to change in his life. On Wednesday, we had District Council and then tried stopping by some more people in the afternoon (no one answered though lol). We then met with Justin and Jaycci for dinner, and we spent the rest of the evening at their house. We had a good discussion; unfortunately, Jaycci is struggling with her testimony and beliefs, and she isn't sure if she made the right decision to be baptized. She had a list of questions/concerns that she pelted us with, but we addressed all of them with logical reasoning, the scriptures, and historical facts, and we continued to testify about the Book of Mormon and how she could only find out if it was true if she actually read it and asked God if it was true. Justin is great; he's rock solid in his testimony, and he worked alongside us to address her concerns and testify that he knew baptism was the right decision, he's just awesome haha. We ended the night by reading a chapter from the Book of Mormon together with them, and the Spirit was definitely working on her. Like I said, it went well, and she never really argued with us, she just talked about what she had read online and we corrected, clarified, and testified to her. Anyways, she has Justin and she at least has found the restored gospel, so we're confident she'll be able to overcome this period of confusion in her life, we've been doing all we can. It was about 10pm when we got home, and we were so mentally and physically exhausted from all of that haha, but we're glad we could address her concerns. Thursday was pretty busy. We first had a lunch/lesson with the friend of one of our members, which was pretty good. We then met with another member to teach another guy, and that went really well too. We had a lot more members join us with lessons this week, which was awesome. Afterwards, we went around to a lot of houses in that neighborhood, and we had a really cool experience that evening. While walking around a park, Elder Schumann-Curtis felt that we should visit the bishop's house nearby. No one answered, but then he felt that we should randomly knock on one of his neighbor's doors. A guy, Luis, answered, and we asked to say a prayer with him. He told us that he found out that his friend had passed away on Sunday, so we prayed with him and testified about the power of prayer. As we took a couple steps to walk away, he stopped us, saying, "Wait, are you guys angels?" The Spirit hit us so strongly, and we turned around as he was coming out of the door to look at us better. His voice was genuinely curious, and he was squinting at us like he was trying to see us better. We talked with him a bit more, testified that we represent Jesus Christ and are sent from God, and told him that we'll visit him again in the next week. It was super cool and powerful. On Friday, a lot of our lessons fell through, but it was all good. Right when we were meeting with a member, we got a call from President Smith telling us that I'll be training a new missionary in Bernal and that my companion will be a district leader in Saratoga (while training again), so that was perfect timing haha. For the rest of the day, we just let that sink in for us as we tried contacting some other people haha. When we knocked on our last door for the evening, no one answered, but as we were getting on our bikes, the daughter (who had opened the door for us once before) was coming home with her friend, and, before we even recognized her, she told us that she would tell her mom that we were here. Her mom (Kelly) then came out, and we had a really good discussion with her about the Book of Mormon, and she was totally open to reading it, which was pretty neat. A miracle lesson there haha. On Saturday, we went to the ward picnic, tried making a few stopbys with the bishop, and spent most of the afternoon making phone calls and doing more stopbys. We then had dinner with some members and their nephew (Nathan) that was staying with them. He had been going to church with them for the past while, but we didn't know until then that he wasn't a member and had minimal religious background. Because of that, we were essentially starting from scratch, so we simply taught him who God and Jesus Christ are, what prophets and spirits are, what the gospel of Jesus Christ is, and how the Church of Jesus Christ was restored in our day by modern-day prophets. He was pretty engaged with it, and we found out afterwards that he and the members he's living with right now had actually talked about baptism a week before, so he could easily be progressing towards baptism soon, which is awesome. We spent most of Sunday visiting different members and people we're teaching, so that Elder Schumann-Curtis could say goodbye with them haha. We had a couple lessons and took some pictures for my companion to remember. That was fun, and then Elder Schumann-Curtis started packing his stuff the rest of that night while I was just hanging out haha. I hope you all are doing well. With transfers and me getting a trainee, things should be pretty crazy this week haha, so we'll see what happens. In the meantime, I'll be trying to follow the advice of these verses (lol): "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6) See you guys next week, Elder Enger
