Elder Parker Enger Mission Letters

Hello, How are you all doing? I'm doing alright; transfers are tomorrow, and I will be heading north to the Cauayan-Alicia Zone to an area called Jones. My new companion will be Elder Anor, who came into the mission at the same time as Elder Gernale, which means I will be follow-up training him. It'll be sad to leave this area, but we're excited for more adventures ahead. Tuesday was pretty busy but pretty good. In the morning, I had a training with the content team about advertisements, which went pretty well, we hope to start running those as soon as we can. District council went well, and afterwards, we tried to meet with Annalyn and Danica, but they weren't available, and our following appointment had to be rescheduled. Right at that time, however, Sister Sadueste asked us if we were coming to help with the "mini-MTC" that the youth were all doing. Hello, How are you all doing? This week was pretty good; we tried to meet a lot of people, had some meetings, and we’re continually trying to put in more effort to find more people to teach, and although we need a lot more work to get to where we want to be with our area, this week was overall pretty successful in our eyes because of the increased effort we’re both trying to put in and the progress we’re making. Tuesday was pretty good. In the morning, we traveled to zone conference, which was at Bambang for the first time since I arrived, which was pretty nice. The conference was good; President Cobing talked a bit about the law of obedience and some housekeeping items, Sister Cobing talked about some health/safety related issues, the APs/ZLs gave some trainings, and we got some food, which is always great haha. Hello,   How are you all doing? This week wasn’t the most exciting with a lot of travels and meetings and few people being home, but it still went well.   On Tuesday, we tried meeting Lenlen this morning, but she wasn't home, so we just headed to district council. Afterwards, we visited John Raven and tried visiting Danica/Annalyn from last week, but they weren't there, so we went over to meet another referral, Jane, from Sister Mila, and she was totally willing to have us come by again, so that should go well. We then tried to visit Lenlen at her family's store in the market, and right when we got there, it started pouring rain, so we all just huddled in their tent/shop in the market and waited for the storm to pass haha. Once the rain let up, we visited Christine/Queenie/Jennie, which went pretty well, they seem more and more likely to come to church as a family, so we're hoping and praying and doing whatever we can to help them go. Hello, Happy 4th of July! Even though I’m probably the only one celebrating this holiday in a how-many-mile-radius haha, I’m grateful for this annual reminder of our nation’s independence and the principles of freedom and liberty it was established on. I’m also grateful for this opportunity to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and help others come unto Him to receive the freedom and liberty that they are seeking—freedom from sin, guilt, confusion, and anything else that is present as a result of our mortal lives. I know that He truly can and will deliver us from all things as we exercise faith in Him, and I’m grateful for another great week to proclaim His gospel. Tuesday was pretty good.
