The one shall be taken, and the other left

Hello, It's been another good and busy week, and as the title implies, it is transfer day tomorrow, and Elder Secillano will be leaving while I'll be staying in Mallig. My new companion is Elder Gardner, an American that arrived in our mission in the late summer/early fall, so it should be interesting; this will be my first time in almost a year that I won't have a Filipino Elder as my companion, it will also be the first time that I've been left in my area without my new companion being a brand new missionary for me to train, and this will be the longest time I've ever spent in a single area haha, so we'll see what adventures this new cycle brings here in Mallig. Things have more or less been the same as last week; a lot of success with finding and teaching some part-member and less active families, and the branch continues to seem a lot more stable than it was when both Elder Secillano and I arrive, which makes us happy, he doesn't even want to leave Mal...

They ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ

Hello! This week has been another pretty good week, one main blessing being an incredible amount of teaching opportunities that we had this week (whether people that we met for the first time, people preparing for baptism for March, inactive members, or anywhere else in between), which is in due part to the fact that this week was a break week for the public schools here, so families were a lot more together and at home when we stopped by their houses. I know that will change you and your family's lives for the better more than anything else in the world can, it truly is that powerful, and I've seen its effects on me as a person and as a disciple of Jesus Christ over these past almost-19 months, as well as its effect...

By way of invitation, saying: Come and be baptized

It's been a good, busy, and interesting past week. For one, Elder Lewis has been emergency transferred to Mabini, another area within our zone, so the APs came and picked him up on Thursday morning and hauled him away, it was very sad. Fortunately, we'll probably still see each other on Thursdays since their district may start meeting at the same chapel we use for district councils, so we'll see haha Outside of that, now that the branch is a little more united/steady, we're now preparing several people for baptism, which is awesome. Aida will be preparing for March 11 (she's been having a couple family issues lately that may postpone her baptism, we'll see; keep her and her family in your prayers), Rosalinda and Rose Mary will be preparing for their baptism on March 18, and Bella (the daughter of an inactive women that recently started coming to church again) will be preparing for baptism on March 25, and she may be joined by Ashley and Leandre if they want to ...
