This is the testimony which I give of Him: That He Lives!

Hello, How are you all doing this week? This week has been a bit interesting, especially the food I've tried haha, and I'm so grateful for this opportunity to serve the Lord and God's children all around me. On Tuesday, we had a training for the referral secretaries in the morning, which went well, followed by district council. We then tried visiting Edward, but he was being a stubborn teenager and didn't want to be taught at the moment lol, so we then tried to visit a couple others nearby, but they weren't home. Then, we visited Christine's/Queenie's family to teach them the Word of Wisdom and Law of Chastity, which went pretty well. Queenie's mom, Jennie (not a member), always seems super interested in our lessons/the Book of Mormon, so once we get her to start coming to church and get the other adults (who are members) to go along with it, we should see them progressing towards baptism pretty soon, which we hope so haha, they're great. To end t...

Hear ye children, the instruction of a Father

Happy Father's Day! I hope you all are doing great. This week was pretty busy with a visit from Elder Renlund, a baptism, and creating a video for Father's Day for our Facebook page, but it all went well, and I hope everything is going well for you guys as well. Tuesday was a bit interesting. It all started when a big spider got into our house We were opening the door to head out and go to our lessons, when all of a sudden, a spider that was a couple inches long jumps through the open door and sits on the floor. I then grabbed our broom to quickly sweep it out the floor, and I missed it, so the spider then scuttled over to Elder Gernale's desk and hid underneath it. So yeah, that was fun lol. Anyways, we then tried visiting several people, including John Raven, Edward, and Christine/Queenie, which went alright, just none of it went according to our plan haha, that's just how it goes sometimes. We also had a family home evening with a part-member household, which was ...

We had traveled for the space of (many hours)

Hello, How are you all doing? This week has been really good and really busy; we've been travelling a lot, and I've had a lot of responsibilities to fulfill as I've been preparing my team of brand new social media missionaries for their various roles and building on our mission's social media momentum, but it has all been great and fun. Tuesday was alright. After district council, we visited John Raven, which went well. We then taught Edward, which also went well; him finally being able to go to church is a good sign that he'll hopefully be progressing towards baptism soon. We then met with Queenie's/Christine's family, which went a bit better than we were expecting haha. A couple of their family members have been a little more aloof in our lessons with the whole family in the past, but in this lesson, they were much more engaged and asking questions to understand/remember what they've been taught before by other missionaries, so we're taking that a...

Hello, How are you all doing? This week was a bit busy and pretty good, and we're continuing to prepare John Lloyd and John Raven for their baptism while helping others progress towards that point. Rizalyn, Jorlie, and Hermie have also been doing great since their baptism, so good things all around. Tuesday was Zone Conference. We woke up at 4am and left at 5:30am, and thankfully, I wasn't too carsick on the way there or on the way back haha. Zone Conference was pretty good; President and Sister Craig talked about the roles of the Godhead and the importance of continually living the doctrine of Christ (increasing our faith, daily repentance, re-baptism through preparing for and partaking of the sacrament, receiving the Holy Ghost in our everyday lives) in our own lives as His disciples, and a lot of it was stuff I learned and/or experienced while on my mission, which was pretty cool and spiritual. With this being their last Zone Conference, they offered their testimonies afte...
